Chelsea’s move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz is being delayed by the Bundesliga club’s demands over the payment of add ons. The Blues are extensively believed to be close to an agreement for the German international, with Lampard having made the signing of Havertz of prime importance for the summer transfer window, but negotiations are dragging on somewhat. According to Bild journalist Christian Falk, this is due to the add-ons and bonuses Bayer Leverkusen want to be included in the deal for the player. “They’re very close, the parties, because of the price,” said Falk (as per the Daily Star). “It’s a question of add-ons - €80m should be paid directly and then €10m and €10m. The hold-up is when.” Sandro Tonali has made quite an impression at Brescia, having played more than 80 games for the Italian club and made his international debut as a teenager.
